Every dish at Southwood Hall is delicious. Our dedicated chefs are experienced at creating sumptuous banqueting menus with plenty of formal, family style and informal dining options available.

Our Catering Guide highlights a number of options that we know work well but we are always keen to hear your ideas and work alongside you to create a bespoke menu.

We are particularly proud of our table carved roasts allowing your guests to join in the theatre of a shared family meal and we enjoy inviting nominated guests into the kitchen to collect a chef’s hat, apron and a roasted joint for each table.

Locally sourced ingredients are used to create dishes from scratch using local Norfolk produce wherever possible – Cromer crab cakes with Colman’s mustard aioli is a favourite as are our “Norfolk’s Finest” oak mezze boards with the crab cakes featured alongside locally reared home-cured salt beef, Pickerings’ glazed sausages, Elveden Estate pickled roots, Norfolk Peer potato salad and Cley smoked mackerel.

We are well practiced at accommodating all special diets and intolerances and happy to work with you or directly with individual guests to give you confidence that all needs are met and expectations exceeded.  Our vegan and gluten free desserts include sumptuous sticky toffee pudding, gooey chocolate brownies and delicious amaretti raspberry glass.  We make gluten and dairy free pastry giving lots of tasty options.

After your wedding ceremony you may like to offer a celebratory drink and once again there are lots of unique options to choose from.

Guests will appreciate canapes, ice creams or a snack ladder allowing them to graze.

Southwood Hall loves to create innovative and interactive options that your guests will remember as unique to your day.  In the evening our Barbecue Lodge comes alive with the scent and sounds of freshly cooked options.  We have pizza and hog roasting ovens alongside Kadai fire bowls to cook a sausage sizzle.  We serve local farmhouse ice creams, hot fresh doughnuts, freshly popped corn , candy floss and S’mores complete with mountains of marshmallows, homemade cookies and chocolate shavings.

There are a plethora of choices included – solid oak tables, pristine white or ivory linens, a choice of Denby crockery sets, weighty cutlery and hand polished glassware.
