Saturday’s bride paused in the barn before making her way onto the lawns to marry her best friend.

Athena was stunning in a detailed, fitted gown and her bridesmaids were gorgeous in full length black dresses with sparkly detail. The boys didn’t look too bad either in their black tuxedos and bow ties. Little flower girl Sienna and page boy Ralphy must have made their mum and dad very proud in their beautiful little outfits – quite the bridal party!

Athena warned us that she liked a bit of sparkle and was focussed on creating a wow factor for her guests but we didn’t realise that she would create a scheme with so much impact right from the beginning of the day with a little help from stylists KWF.

After torrential downpours in the morning, blue skies took over as Athena took her dad’s arm and followed her bridesmaids down the aisle while the harp played. This stunning bride even had the Best Men in tears!

Once married, Thomas and Athena were congratulated by their guests who enjoyed a cold bottle from the terrace cooler and a bite or two from the snack ladder stands. Our bride and groom were surrounded by their friends and family as they celebrated becoming husband and wife before making a real entrance into the wedding breakfast.

With their guests seated with a little help from Athena’s seating plan (and the best men ????), the new Mr and Mrs James were announced into the room in style as Kanye West and Rhianna’s All of the Lights played at full volume.

Silver sparkly wooden cut out names, gorgeous framed table names, KWF’s stunning centrepieces and individually hand-decorated Champagne flutes gave the barn the desired wow factor.

Guests were served a starter of either chestnut mushrooms in garlic and parsley butter on toasted sourdough or tomato and pesto tart and main course of either butter roasted supreme of chicken or three little pigs with mushroom and potato gratin on buttered leeks.

Then the beautiful toast glasses were filled ahead of the speeches which were both touching and entertaining!! Following the speeches guests were back out on the terrace in the late afternoon sun to enjoy sweet canapes of sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel sauce, chocolate brownie bites and lemon raspberry meringues.

The flip flops were out ready for people to put on their dancing shoes and having cut the amazing cake it was time for the first dance. Lee Vann followed the romantic number with a set of funky songs to get the party started.

The pizza oven was lit and guests chose their own toppings to enjoy alongside the potato station serving all kinds of chips, fries, wedges and potatoes with a huge selection of yummy sauces.

It was clear to see how this lovely couple have so many friends around them. You guys make such an amazing little family and we hope you continue to make each other just as happy as you were yesterday.
